the jazz had no jazz.

Our first Jazz game of the season. Huge matchup. Utah Jazz vs Dallas Mavericks. Our excitement was short lived. It was perhaps the worst the team has played this season. So instead of pictures of my boy Millsap and Scott's boy Williams. You get a glorious picture of us and the Jazz bear. Pick it up Jazz. Please.

thanksgiving 10.

For Thanksgiving we went up to Scott's grandparent's in Shelley, Idaho. His dad rode up with us and we stayed a couple days at his grandparent's house. Here is what we did.

We went 'Black Friday' shopping. Well kinda. We started waiting in line at Sport's Authority at 3:00 a.m. The first 80 people got gift cards. Combined we got $55.00. Nice! While we spent all our time at one store, Debby and Shelley made it to like 5 billion, they are pros. Next time we will have to just follow them around. My friend Courtney from college was in Idaho Falls visiting her family, so she met up with us and waited in line at Sport's Authority, too.
Court & I.

Us who braved the crazy morning.

Scott & Grandad
Debby. Nana. & I

Debby made a wonderful dinner with all the trimmings. Grandad also took us to Fort Hall. His favorite local casino. None of us had much luck, but it was fun to spend time with them! When we got back to SLC we had Thanksgiving the following night at my mom's. Two Thanksgivings. Boy are we lucky. So thankful for great family!

DYG ice skating.

We are leaders in our church's youth group. DYG. Daybreak Youth Group. So for a fun activity, we went ice skating this week at the Utah Olympic Oval. I'm over the middle school girls and Scott is over the high school boys. I'm not a great skater. Scott's pretty good. I managed to get a picture with a couple of the girls in my group. And I got one of half of the entire group. Watching over 30 kids can get crazy! But so much fun!

Real Salt Lake.

Ok, so Real Salt Lake had their home playoff game here last Saturday night. It was crazy! The fans were totally into it. We had home field advantage. And Scott suprised me with a sweet Real jacket that I've wanted all season.
They lost. Such disappointment. No repeat champions this year. But my mom and I had such a great time! Of course we will be there next season cheering on our team!

our FIRST anniversary.

Gosh darn....my hubs is just the best. But really. Our first anniversary was the greatest. It's all that I could have asked for. I didn't know what he had planned so it was a suprise. And this is how it went......

We drove up to Snowbird. (First brownie point for Scott because that is where he proposed.) How cute! We took the tram up to the top of Snowbird. 11,000 feet high. Yikes.

Then, we hiked for awhile until we found a spot for a picnic. (Second brownie point since he had already packed the picnic and thought ahead. Even plastic wine glasses.) We had sandwiches and he brought sparkling wine so that I could pop off the cork. It's something that I haven't done but have always wanted to do. The funny thing, is that I got him a camelback hydration/backpack for his gift and it totally worked with his plans. We stayed hydrated on our hike and he was able to carry our picnic. I guess great minds think alike.

After the picnic we took the chair lift back down the mountain and headed home to change for Lion king on Broadway.

This play was awesome. I could go to a broadway play once a month. At least.

Yep. I'm a lucky girl. (Well. He's a super lucky guy too.) But it was great. To more great years....

party in portland

For Scott's cousin's renewal of vows, everyone went up to Portland. The occasion took place at McMinniman's, which is on the outskirts of Portland. It's an old mansion farm that has been turned into a hotel with beautiful grounds, restaurants, golf course, and pubs. Everything is old style, such as you share bathrooms with people on your floor....we were a little creeped out by the old furniture and weird paintings everywhere, but the fun took over and we had a great time!
No. We aren't this strange...you had to wear either a hat, wig, or boa to the ceremony.

Wide-eyed Nic and I at karaoke!

After the weekend, we stayed an extra night to spend time with Julie and Rian. I miss them dearly and am so thankful we were even able to spend one day with them!

Rian and Ju at the place they took us for dessert...it overlooked downtown Portland!

Scottie and I at the Oregon coast.

Some of my favorite memories from this trip:
-Scott and Brandon talking like Bob Marley for two days straight.
-Being able to hang out with Nic whenever I wanted.
-The soaking pool.
-Lynchburg lemonades.
-Creme brulee.
-Frisbee games at the coast, Ju and I won everytime. P.s.

my best friends wedding.

My dearest best friend Julie got married on Friday, July 23 2010 at the Youngberg Vineyard in McMinnville, Oregon. I love her husband, Rian, they are just the greatest. We flew in on Thursday morning and were able to stay until Sunday, it was so great for us to be there and for me to be her bridesmaid, I am so glad she found such a great guy!

Rehearsal dinner...

july 4th celebrations

On the 4th of July this year we headed over to our friend's Krystal and Dusty's. There we put on a little BBQ for a group of friends and Scott was the master of fireworks and put on our lame but cool enough fireworks show!....

Omaha is for lovers.

We were able to head out to Omaha, Nebraska to visit my family and go to the College World Series. We were there from June 19-23 and were lucky that my dad got us good seats to the CWS, as it was the last year it was held at the famous Rosenblatt Stadium...

Nathan Graduates.

Nate graduated from Brighton High School on June 9, 2010. Scott and I took a half of day off of work to attend and to celebrate his day! Nic came into town so it was so great to spend time with her. I forgot how long and boring graduations are...here are some pictures. Bengals for life.

Mow Skillz.

So, my husband is pretty talented I have to say. For his job at Rio Tinto Stadium he designs mow patterns and then mows them onto the field. Here are a couple pictures of his field, look how good! He's such a hard worker and I am so thankful for everything that he does! Love ya hubs!

Birthday Month

We have had a busy month with Mother's Day, work, both of our birthday's and all. It is a fun month with our birthday's being only nine days apart.

For my birthday:
-My mom and I took a half day off of work and went and got pedicures and went to lunch, it was so fun and great to spend time together!
-Carol took us out to Olive Garden for my birthday where we were given a very entertaining waitress!
-We went bowling and Scott had some of my friends there, other than his asthma attack from the fog machine, it was a good time!

For Scott's birthday:
-I took him to Spoon Me for a lunch treat.
- Deuce ended up having to go to the vet. So after spending two hours there and getting him all better, we headed out to Market Street Grill for a late nice dinner.
- I planned a dinner with a lot of his friends on Sunday at Porcupine Grill, it was a great get together!

So, here are some pictures of our celebrations. 24 years old, yikes.

A moley a moley a moley.

So. I had this mole. Nothing to be alarmed about. Perfectly round. Light in color. But it did slowly keep growing and it somewhat bothered me. So I went to a dermatologist just to have them check it out. My appointment went like this:
"It looks perfectly fine to me. Would you like it removed? It only takes about fifteen minutes." So after a two minute anxiety attack. A text to my boss saying I'll be a little long on lunch. Six numbing shots. And two stitches later. This is what I look like...

A little alarmed? Yes! I get the stitches out tomorrow on my birthday. Hopefully this scar will be worth it.

All About Sports. Seriously.

Ok, so we have been lucky to go to a few Jazz games this year. The best way we have found to get cheap tickets, is thru ksl.com! We were able to go to the game vs the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was a crazy game that went into overtime, but the Jazz won!

Last Friday, April 16, we went with some friends to Scott's old stomping grounds, the Salt Lake Bees. It was their home-opener and they ended up losing but it was a nice suprise to hear that they were having fireworks after the game.

Last night, April 23, we went to the Jazz playoff home opener, game 3! We decided to make a fun night of it since we are huge fans and these events don't happen all the time. So, we started off the night going to one of my favorite restaurants for dinner, The Old Spaghetti Factory, we then met up with Brady and his date at a lounge across from the arena to enjoy a $2.00 beer. That place was crazy! Then, off to the game, where the Jazz beat the Denver Nuggets by 15 points, and my boy Milly played awesome!

Our favorite joke of the night, "What are the Jazz players eating for dinner? Nuggets!" We're lame. Here's some pictures.
