laityn's dedication.

We had Laityn dedicated at church in December and it was such a special day! We pray that L comes to know the Lord and is shown Him thru those that surround her. Here is the letter that Daddy read to you at church that morning:

laityn mae.

Our precious blessing decided to arrive on Saturday, October 27, 2012. Since finding out only a few weeks before her due date that she was breech, we scheduled an early c-section for November 2 to avoid emergency situations.

Well. Little Laityn wanted to  meet mommy and daddy. Saturday morning I woke up and took the dogs out. I came back in and laid down and about two minutes after that. My water broke. Did you hear that? My water broke. It was the most unreal and enjoyable feeling. I say this because I was saddened when I found out she was breech and would not be able to experience a normal vaginal delivery. The nurses let me dilate to a 5.5 so that I could experience some labor pains. Which I was so thankful for.

It then came time to meet our little angel. Since Shanda (our Pastor's wife/amazing friend) is a NICU nurse at our hospital, we asked her to be in the operating room with us. She was such a blessing. She made sure we got the best anesthesiologist,{Who Scott hit it off with right away....Dancing to MJ while the nurses were prepping} took photos, and comforted us. Scottie was right by my side the entire time. It felt so peaceful and emotional. The c-section went smoothly. And the only thing I remember not liking was the tugging from side to side. But once I heard her scream. I was gone. Gone in the emotions of thanking my Lord and the feelings of getting to meet my baby girl in a couple short moments. She was beautiful. All 7lbs 2 oz of her with a headful of dark hair. As they wheeled baby and I out I had Scott go and get my mom so she would be the first one to meet her.

The next few hours were a blur. I got super sick coming off of the anesthesia. All I remember is continually throwing up. Nurses trying to get Laityn to breastfeed. And that's about it. Not the best combination. But one I would do over and over. I will never forget that day. The day we became a family of three.

everything baby.

I was so blessed to have been given two baby shower's. The first was hosted by my girlies Krystal, Glory, Shanda, and Robyn. They did a "Sprinkled with Love" theme which was so cute. They had a frozen yogurt bar with all the trimmings. And there's no way I'll pass on frozen yogurt with all the goods!
And the second. Of course. Was hosted by my wonderful mother. This was a special shower because on top of friends, a lot of family from out of town even came in for it. I was blessed to have Nana, Aunt Deb, Cousin Shelley, and both of my sister's fly into town!

three years.

Our anniversary was yesterday. Three years ago I married my soul mate. My best friend. And the most wonderful man. It's crazy how fast time goes by. And I wouldn't want to share that time with anyone else. Here's a couple photos from our relaxing but fun day.

mother.

Today is mother's birthday. She is such a great mom. I hope I can be as good of a mom as she has been. To celebrate, we took her to breakfast and then went and spent the afternoon at Gardner Village.

chub club.

Hello everyone and welcome to the chub club. Haha. I am almost 31 weeks in this photo. Time has started to fly by and we are trying to get as prepared as we can. We were given her crib by Scott's Aunt, Nana, and cousin. For which we are very thankful. I love it! My mom gave us a rocker and my friend Ali is working on the bedding. So things are starting to come together which is really exciting. We have been beyond busy with baby stuff, church events, and work. I'm looking forward to the Fall, fitting in my old clothes, and of course. Baby girl!

busy.

We have been so extremely busy. But a lot of the busy-ness has also been fun. Steph came in town for a couple days and mother Teresa had the annual barbecque. I look forward to this every year and to seeing Steph anytime I can. She will be flying in the second week of November to see baby. So all the more reason for things to look forward too. With my small group girls we did a fun paint night activity. Everyone's projects turned out great and I'm so thankful for those girls. Scott is gearing up for his favorite boy's thing of the year. His fantasy football drafts. He's also playing in a softball and basketball league.
